One-michelin star Italian restaurant FRASSI brings the flavours of Tuscany to Taipei.
FRASSI is led by Chef Iacopo Frassi, who brings the soul of Tuscany to Taiwan. Growing up in a household with its own farm, Chef Iacopo learned early on the value of fresh ingredients and the joy of creating dishes from what the land provides. This philosophy of "farm to table" is at the core of FRASSI's cuisine, with each dish showcasing the natural, unadulterated essence of every ingredient.
FRASSI aims to offer diners a taste of Tuscany right in the heart of Taipei by offering an authentic Italian fine dining experience that blends classic traditions with contemporary flair.

Chef Iacopo's creations are a testament to his passion for Italian gastronomy. He uses modern techniques to transform seasonal produce into dishes that are both innovative and deeply rooted in Italian heritage.
Their menu features a range of exquisite options, from handmade pasta to delicate seafood, all prepared with an ingenuity that honours the spirit and sincerity of Italian cuisine. It's the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a special anniversary celebration.
We tasted their Taipei Restaurant Week special menu which started with Bonito Romesco Capers, Housemade Bread Grissini, Pastina Hairy Crab with Sweet Pea, Lamb Porchetta with Stout and Cumin, Chestnut Fromage Blanc Balsamic, and ended with Petit Four.

The Pastina Hairy Crab with Sweet Pea is a dish inspired by Chef’s childhood taste memories. Traditionally prepared with chicken broth, it is reimagined here with lobster stock to cook pastina, complemented by Hokkaido hairy crab and a light lobster foam, and finished with sweet peas for a delicate touch. A full expression of the ocean’s freshness unfolds in every bite.
Another highlight was their Chestnut Fromage Blanc Balsamic inspired by the classic Italian Mont Blanc, the chef creates a base of chocolate zabaglione infused with bay leaf, crowned with ginger-accented fromage blanc at the center. It is paired with longan wood–smoked chestnut purée and a 12-year-aged balsamic vinegar, resulting in a rich dessert layered with depth and complexity.
No Italian meal is ever complete without wine pairing hence be sure to speak to their in-house sommelier.
Whether you're a local searching for the best Italian restaurant in Taipei or a visitor seeking an authentic taste of Italy, be sure to check out FRASSI.
