The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2023 awards continue to celebrate and recognise the outstanding talent and innovation displayed by the global culinary community, spotlighting these remarkable dining destinations that redefine the art of gastronomy.
The eagerly awaited S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna World's 50 Best Restaurants Awards for 2023 were presented in Valencia, Spain. In a remarkable feat, Central, a renowned restaurant dedicated to showcasing the vibrant flavours of Peru, has ascended to the top spot on the esteemed World's 50 Best Restaurants list, overtaking its previous position at No. 2 in the 2022 rankings. Central is followed by Disfrutar (No.2) in Barcelona and Diverxo (No.3) in Madrid.

Central pays tribute to Peru's rich cultural legacy by creating a cuisine that highlights the native delicacies of the nation. The cuisine at Central not only satisfies the senses but also promotes sustainability by fusing traditional methods and historical influences.

World’s Best Restaurants 2023: Odette in Singapore is Best Restaurant in Asia
The renowned Singapore restaurant Odette was named Best Restaurant in Asia and placed an outstanding 14th on the prestigious list. In addition, Julien Royer, the excellent chef at Odette, received the Estrella Damm Chefs' Choice Award in recognition of his outstanding culinary skills.
Le Du, located in Bangkok, emerged as Asia's highest new entry, capturing the 15th spot on the list. The 2023 rankings also featured notable new Asian entries, including Gaggan Anand in Bangkok (No. 17) and Sézanne in Tokyo (No. 37), showcasing the region's diverse gastronomic scene.
With seven exceptional establishments making the cut, the list showcased the culinary excellence of Asian restaurants, with representation from Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
World’s Best Restaurants 2023: Table by Bruno Verjus in Paris, Gets the Highest New Entry Award
Alchemist in Copenhagen (No.5), which won the Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award, is another noteworthy restaurant. With a trip through many settings, artistic mediums, and storytelling moments, this remarkable restaurant offers a dreamlike eating experience. Rasmus Munk, the head chef, also creates beautiful cuisine to go with the experience.
Meanwhile, Table by Bruno Verjus in Paris (No.10), recipient of the Highest New Entry Award, offers simple yet exceptional seasonal cuisine that has garnered a loyal following.
