Experience a Traditional Flower Head Spa Session With TTE Elephant

TTE Elephant, a scalp and hair care center from Shanghai, has opened a flagship spa in Singapore. Now at Marina Bay Link Mall, the spa welcomes you to step in after work for a moment of peace.
This famous spa chain, which has over 400 branches across Shanghai, Zhejiang and Jiangsu, also has an international presence in Malaysia, South Korea, and Macau. Its specialty treatment is Korean-style flower head baths, which combine aromatherapy and massage techniques to soothe tension and ease fatigue. The spa uses a waterfall-like device to stimulate and revive the scalp.
Though the head spa itself comes from Korea (where the device is found in “hair spas” and salons), TTE Elephant incorporates Chinese massage techniques and knowledge of meridian therapy.

Introduction to TTE Elephant’s Plant-Based Wellness
Thoughtfully curated and carefully designed, each session at TTE Elephant is a journey of sight, sound, smell, touch and taste.
The spa is heavy on botanical ingredients, using essential oils like lavender, chamomile and osmanthus in their routines. Each treatment involves the layering of essential oils for a holistic experience that addresses several concerns at once: chamomile calms irritation, lavender promotes relaxation, and sweet orange lifts your mood. A custom blend of floral and herbal oils can be created for every spa session.
They’re also big on emotional wellness: everything about the Marina Bay Link Mall flagship is designed to calm. Each session begins with a relaxing, almost ritualistic flower hand bath, in which your palms are immersed in scented cold water. Each spa suite is equipped with mood lighting and decorated with dried flowers.
Exclusively at the Singapore spa, each treatment concludes with a cup of TTE Elephant’s signature Hot Flower Milk Tea. The recipe for this tea changes frequently: common ingredients include rose, osmanthus and jasmine. At the time of our visit, the post-treatment blend was a milk-free, light jasmine tea, sweetened with red dates.

The Signature Flower Head Spa
TTE Elephant’s Signature Flower Head Spa treatment (S$198, S$108 for first trial) is a 90-minute holistic treatment for stressed, congested, or dry scalps. Designed to relieve tension and even help with insomnia, it involves a long and comprehensive look at everything you’ll need for long-term hair care. Before the session, the staff will introduce you to the various essential oils available in the salon: you’ll pick your favourite scents, and an oil blend will be mixed just for you.
The session begins with a scalp and hair diagnosis session: you’re brought into a room with a scalp analysis machine, which will give you a magnified view of your scalp and the roots of your hair. Your therapist will be able to diagnose any scalp problems that need addressing: product buildup at the roots, an overly dry or oily scalp, and even visible stress. You’ll then have a customised care plan designed for you that suits your lifestyle needs: perhaps a recommendation of shampoos to use, massage styles to seek out, or nutrition advice.
You’ll then be led into the massage room, where you’ll change out of your clothes into a spa gown and settle in for a head and shoulder massage. The oil blend you picked out earlier will be used here: your therapist will work with you to relax your shoulders, ease head tension, and improve your alignment.

Three scalp washes follow: the first is a basic wash and massage, and the second is the famous Floral Head Bath. Your hair is lathered, treated with oils, and placed under a waterfall-like device that targets your hairline with pressured water. This device uses a “water circulation” technique to stimulate scalp circulation and hair growth: the water is allowed to run naturally through your scalp and into the basin below. After a final scalp wash, your hair is massaged again, blow-dried, and treated with serums and essential oils.
We came in with concerns about pollution damage, frizz, and stress: we left with a cleaner, more relaxed scalp, moisturised hair, and a small volume boost from the blow-drying process. Plus, we’d received plenty of tips on how to keep hair shiny, balanced, and well cared for. Your hair, more than anything, shows your internal state: a balanced diet, frequent relaxation practices like massages and treatments, and a good night’s sleep do the most for your hair health.
Most customers see improvements in scalp health after just one session, but the spa recommends two to three sessions for visible improvements in scalp condition and sleep quality.

Other Treatments at TTE Elephant
If you’d like to share this experience with someone, TTE Elephant offers a Couple Signature Head Spa (S$396, S$216 for first trial) for two. In the VIP Suite, two complete Signature Flower Head Spa sessions will be completed in tandem: a shared moment of relaxation and care. For a more massage-focused experience, the Sleep Relief Head Spa (S$178, S$98 for first trial) centers on meridian massage and aromatherapy to soothe anxiety and relieve insomnia.

Tips For A Better Spa Experience
- Book appointments in advance and come in five to ten minutes early.
- Staff are fluent in Mandarin and some English: if you don’t speak Mandarin, there are staff on site who will communicate with you and express any needs you may have.
- Come with clean hair, free of any products, for a more accurate scalp analysis.
- As the spa works with essential oils, disclose any ingredient sensitivities you may have to your therapist at the oil-blending stage: they’ll work with you to choose only the most appropriate ingredients.
