This month’s beauty line-up has a bit of everything, from makeup we rated highly to new skincare technology. Benefit’s The POREfessional Concealer has quickly become one of our favourites for 40+ skin, while bareMinerals finally makes its Singapore debut with its signature skin-first approach to makeup.
On the skincare front, SK-II introduces its first Facial Treatment Serum and ELIXIR looks beyond traditional firming with its new Total V Firming Cream. bareMinerals Has Landed in Singapore – Mineral Powered, Skincare-Infused Formulas
Nearly 30 years after helping pioneer the clean beauty movement, bareMinerals has officially arrived in Singapore. Benefit The POREfessional Concealer – The One Concealer for 40+ Skin
The POREfessional Concealer is one of the best concealers for 40+ skin we’ve used in a long time. It blends beautifully, gives skin an incredibly smooth, blurred finish and, importantly, holds up brilliantly on oily skin. Even after hours of wear, it stays smooth without cracking or breaking apart, and with serious staying power.
Benefit’s new The POREfessional Concealer combines full, buildable coverage with the pore-blurring expertise of its POREfessional range. The lightweight formula promises 24-hour smoothing, blurring and hydrating coverage, alongside waterproof, crease-proof and smudge-proof wear. It comes in 20 colour-true shades, with a soft-cushion applicator that makes it easy to dot on exactly where you need it.
The formula is also 76% skincare-based before colour agents are added, with hyaluronic acid for hydration, microspheres to soften the appearance of texture and Enantia chlorantha bark extract to help reduce excess surface oil. Despite the coverage, the finish looks natural rather than heavy, which is precisely why this one impressed us so much.
Why We Love It: The combination of coverage, blur and staying power feels simple but yet so rare. This magic wand smooths over pores and texture without looking cakey, blends with very little effort and, on oily skin, stays put without cracking as the day goes on. This is one we’ll be buying again.
Who It Is For: Anyone looking for long-lasting, fuller coverage, especially those with ageing skin. For those with dark circles or other blemishes, we recommend buying two different shades to correct and conceal.

SK-II Facial Treatment Serum – PITERA™ Gets a Serum Upgrade
For more than 40 years, PITERA™ has been synonymous with SK-II, but the brand is now taking its signature ingredient somewhere new. The SK-II Facial Treatment Serum is the first serum within its Heritage Line, created to target three signs associated with youthful-looking skin: plumpness, firmness and radiance. Its development follows SK-II research into the effects of modern-day stress on skin, which found changes in the expression levels of 701 genes.
The hero ingredient is a concentrated level of PITERA™, SK-II's proprietary yeast-fermented ingredient, combined for the first time with Boosting Oil Beads. A 50ml bottle contains around 16,000 tiny beads that burst as you apply the serum, dissolving into a refreshing jelly-like texture without leaving an oily feel. Rituals The Ritual of Seshen – A Fresh Start Inspired by the Nile
Rituals takes us to the banks of the Nile with The Ritual of Seshen, its new limited-edition collection inspired by the ancient Egyptian lotus. Known as Seshen in ancient Egypt, the lotus emerges from muddy water and blooms at dawn, becoming a symbol of renewal and fresh beginnings. Rituals translates that idea into a beautifully sensorial collection built around lotus flower and orange blossom, with fresh green, solar and citrus notes designed to evoke a sunlit morning by the Nile.
There is plenty to play with here.
