2. The Spot

3. Fat Chap

Located at Suntec City, treat mothers to An Indo Communal Brunch at Fat Chap featuring a live cooking demonstration lead by Medanese Head Chef Selamat Susanto – a perfect Sunday family-bonding activity. The young chef will demonstrate a simple kampong chicken marinade recipe as well as how to prepare perkedel or potato cake at home on Sunday, 12 May 2019.

The cooking demo is followed by a communal table spread or Kembul Bujana, a common Indonesian practice to party over a feast. Impress the family with a traditional platter of Nasi Tumpeng with coconut scented butterfly pea rice, roasted kampong chicken, grilled whole fish, tempeh, perkedel and sambal prawns. Served with sides of prawn crackers, caramelized silverfish, peanuts, egg ribbons and a variety of vegetables cooked two ways. 4. New Ubin Seafood

If your mother is a seafood lover, this is the place to go! Homegrown restaurant chain New Ubin Group’s first hotel restaurant at Zhongshan Park offers a truly Singaporean tze char experience. Keeping culinary standards in check is Wyndham Singapore’s Executive Chef Melvin Lim, who helms four of New Ubin’s very demanding kitchens. Enjoy their finger-licking signature dishes such as Mud Crabs the New Ubin way – garlic baked with heaps of fresh cloves that are roasted to sweet-smoky perfection.
