J'adore L'Or gets its most travel-friendly reinvention yet in this alcohol-free solid perfume stick that delivers the full intensity of the iconic solar floral directly onto skin. The formula is infused with jasmine wax that melts delicately on contact, unfurling a concentrated bouquet of orange blossom, jasmine grandiflorum, and centifolia rose absolutes in a way that feels genuinely intimate, like the fragrance is blooming from within rather than sitting on top of you.

Part of Chloé's Atelier des Sens collection, the Atelier des Fleurs solid perfumes are a series of single-material-inspired fragrances crafted with at least 93% ingredients of natural origin. Each is vegan and housed in the line's signature ivory compact that is endlessly refillable, making them as considered in design as they are in formula. Cedrus by perfumer Quentin Bisch is built around cedar, vetiver, and sandalwood with an abstract floral at its heart; Magnolia Alba, a luminous, dewy white floral that captures the flower at its most transparent and fresh. The formula is gel-like and alcohol-free, and the scents are fresh reinterpretations of the original Daisy range, including the signature Daisy (wild berries, white violet, jasmine, sandalwood), Daisy Eau So Fresh, and Daisy Love.

If you are still to try it, Glossier’s You Solid is really worth the extra step of ordering internationally. The alcohol-free wax base melts into skin and holds fragrance close, making this solid perfume feel soft, warm, and intimate, almost like a natural extension of your own scent. Key notes are pink pepper, iris root, ambrette, and ambrox, a musky, skin-forward combination that smells different on everyone. Which is precisely its point.

The compact is refillable, travel-friendly, and sculpted to fit the curve of your palm, coated in pink enamel with a debossed Glossier logo. This is one of the most loved solid perfumes on the market and a perfect gateway into the format.

Who it's for: The minimalist who wants an understated, skin-scent solid that becomes truly personal.

Diptyque has been in the solid perfume game far longer than the current trend would suggest. With over six decades of fragrance history, the brand’s take on this format is as expected: restrained, refined, and extremely covetable. Inspired by the enfleurage technique used historically to capture the scent of flowers, each alcohol-free wax balm is applied with the fingertips and housed in a beautifully illustrated, refillable compact. 

You’ve got five scents to pick from locally. Do Son, a delicate musky tuberose; Eau Capitale, a deep chypre rose that comes into its own in the evening; Orphéon, a warm woody floral with a bohemian spirit; Eau Rose, a lightly fruity floral ideal for daily wear; and L'Ombre dans L'Eau, a cool green blackcurrant and rose that is one of the house's most beloved classics.

At SGD 30, Lush's solid perfumes are the most accessible entry on our list, but deservedly so. Built on an organic jojoba oil base rather than wax, the texture is softer and more skin-melting than many pricier counterparts. Our recommendations for Singapore would be American Cream, a creamy gourmand blend of vanilla, and clary sage that wears like a warm, nostalgic skin scent; and Pansy, a green floral with orange flower, rosemary, and galbanum that is sharper, fresher, and amongst one of Lush's most underrated fragrances. Both wear intimately and develop well in our tropical heat.

While we love the formulation, we’d recommend picking yours in-store rather than ordering delivery. The jojoba-based formula is designed to melt on skin contact, which means a warm courier bag is not its friend.
