Discover the best of Taipei, from a luxurious stay at the Regent Hotel to an unforgettable culinary journey featuring world-class restaurants.
We were honored to receive an invitation from the Taipei City Government for our very first visit to Taiwan. Our journey began with a flight on the national carrier, EVA Air. Their affordable economy class service was a pleasant surprise, offering a comfortable and efficient flight that lasted just under five hours. Onboard, we enjoyed a choice of both Chinese and Indian cuisine, a welcome touch for diverse palates.
The landing was nothing short of spectacular. We were treated to a breathtaking view of the sun and moon, painting a serene and beautiful picture of the city below. Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the efficiency and tranquility of Taiwan's main airport. It was a breeze to navigate, with an atmosphere that felt clean, organized, and peaceful. Most importantly, we felt a profound sense of safety from the moment we landed.

Where We Stayed in Taipei
Upon arrival in Taipei, we settled into the luxurious embrace of the Regent Hotel. As a spacious 5-star hotel, it immediately felt like a sanctuary in the heart of the city. We quickly discovered that its greatest asset was its unbeatable location.
From the hotel's doorstep, it was a mere 15-minute journey to a vast array of top-tier restaurants, iconic landmarks like the Taipei 101 tower, and the vibrant chaos of the city's famous night markets.
Beyond its prime location, the Regent Taipei offered an impressive list of perks that elevated our stay. Our room was not just spacious, but also a haven of comfort, featuring an oversized marble bathroom with a deep soaking tub—a perfect way to unwind after a day of sightseeing.
The hotel's commitment to wellness was evident in its amenities. We enjoyed the tranquil atmosphere of the rooftop heated swimming pool, which offered a stunning panoramic view of the Taipei skyline. It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the city's energy from a serene vantage point.
