One hull or two? The answer to that question polarizes sailors from across the world in the same way that Batman and Superman divided superhero fans. Whether it is to buy or to charter, Multihulls have been a favourite amongst the Southeast Asian region. And why won’t they be? Catamarans offer an extravagant interior and exterior space as well as great stability - for those who don’t like life on the tilt, or rocking like a cradle at anchor.
This year, visitors of the Singapore Yacht Show will be treated to see a display of catamarans from prestigious brands such as Sunreef, Fountaine Pajot by Multihull Solutions, Lagoon by Simpson Marine, Aquilla by MarineMax and Seawind by Corsair Marine. Here are the top 3 catamarans that we are excited to see at this year's show.
Sunreef yachts, a leader in designing and manufacturing bespoke yachts, will use the Singapore Yacht Show for the second ever world premiere of its latest model, the Supreme 68. A 68ft sailing catamaran with a total living space of over 280sqm, this yacht offers luxurious surface areas of a much larger superyacht, packaged within a unit below 24m. This project has been shrouded in secrecy and its unveiling will surely be a highlight of the show. Here's a sneak peak of the yacht.
Offering excellent luminosity, a spacious cockpit, and a dining table that can accommodate up to 8 passengers, this yacht is designed for easy entertainment at the sea. This year’s yacht show will be the first time that the Lucia 40 will be presented in Asia Pacific. The catamaran’s sleek lines are complemented by its stylish interior design and premium furnishing.
Simpson Marine is presenting a wide range of vessels from its prestigious portfolio at this year’s yacht show. The Lagoon 450 SporTop however, is what we’re excited for as it will be making its first appearance here. With a large sunbathing area, a comfortable guest cabin with a side access to the double bed and plenty of storage space, this catamaran truly describes luxury.
Now entering its sixth edition, the Singapore Yacht Show will take place from April 7 - 10, 2016. Set to be the biggest yet, the show provides a unique opportunity to discover some of the world's finest superyacht and international yacht brands in an elite social setting. Held at the award-winning ONE°15 Marina Club, this exclusive event epitomises luxury lifestyle, bringing together world-class yachts, glamorous parties, high-end entertainment, and an enviable range of prestige products and brands - supercars, fine dining, beautiful timepieces, hand-crafted jewellery and some of the region's most luxurious waterside.
