The inaugural Wine Pinnacle Awards and The GREAT Wine & Dine Festival at Resorts World Sentosa Singapore celebrate the best wines from around the world

The world-first Wine Pinnacle Awards 2019 and the GREAT Wine & Dine Festival presented by Genting Singapore are taking place from 10th October to 12th October 2019 and will be hosted by Resorts World Sentosa Singapore.

The inauguration of the three-day wine extravaganza celebrating the best wines from all around the world will begin on 10th October 2019. The esteemed invite-only Wine Pinnacle Awards Ceremony and a grandiose gala dinner will occur at the Resorts World Sentosa Ballroom. Happening concurrently with The Wine Pinnacle Awards ceremony, The GREAT Wine & Dine Festival 2019 will be open to all on 11th and 12th October at Resorts World Sentosa.

Wine Pinnacle Awards 2019

The Awards will see 24 of the world’s finest and most outstanding wines honoured, with titles across a wide span of categories such as Best Swan of The Year, Best Chinese Red Wine, Best Organic/ Natural Wine of the Year, and more.

Wine selections will be nominated by a specially curated jury of celebrated wine experts including; Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers, wine collectors, and sommeliers from around the globe. The nominated-based awards provide an opportunity for a diverse and unique range of wines to be recognized worldwide, unlike other wine awards that require paid submissions.

The awards are chaired by the Wine Pinnacle Awards Committee made up of five internationally renowned and notable wine experts. Each believing in honouring the best in wine-making and breaking down competition barriers, through open nominations unrestricted by origin or entry fees. Among them is, acclaimed wine critic Jeannie Cho Lee the first Asian Master of Wine.

The Gala Dinner menu paired with nominees of the Wine Pinnacle Awards

Chef Nicolas Masse of two Michelin-starred restaurant La Grand'Vigne, will helm the avant-garde six-course menu on 10th October 2019. The dinner will be skillfully paired by sought-after expressions from Château Smith-Haut-Lafitte as well as wine nominees of the Wine Pinnacle Awards 2019.

The GREAT Wine & Dine Festival 2019

Happening concurrently with The Wine Pinnacle Awards ceremony, The GREAT Wine & Dine Festival 2019 will be held on 11th and 12th October at Resorts World Sentosa Singapore. The festival is a ticketed event which is open to all to attend.

The GREAT Wine & Dine Festival will showcase more than 400 wines and craft sakes including Wine Pinnacle Awards nominees, available for sampling on festival grounds at the Resorts World Sentosa Ballroom. Aspiring wine connoisseurs and wine lovers can also look forward to a series of masterclasses by the Wine Pinnacle Awards Committee.

Additionally, visitors can look forward to a delectable spread of food and wine, including wine-pairing dinners at some of Resorts World Sentosa’s celebrity chef restaurants such as table65, Fratelli Trattoria and TEPPAN by Chef Yonemura. Here are some of our favourite dishes:

Ceviche with Pomfret and passion fruit, coconut and kaffir lime by table65 paired with 2017 Domaine Vacheron, Sancerre Les Romains, Loire Valley, France

Foie gras seaweed and ginger broth and umeboshi by table65 paired with 2015 Ata Rangi, Pinot Noir, Martinborough, New Zealand

Grilled Beef Sandwich, Japanese BBQ Sauce by Teppan, Chef Yonemura paired with 1999 Château Leoville- Las Cases, Grand Vin de Leoville, Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, France
