REINVENTION: ALLPLAY at Singapore Science Park, now to 22 November
Singapore Science Park is turning into a giant playground for the next three months, but this one is as much about design and creativity as it is about having fun. REINVENTION: ALLPLAY, presented by Singapore Science Park with support from the DesignSingapore Council, brings together more than 30 designers, artists and partners for installations, workshops and experiences exploring how play can encourage movement, experimentation and connection.
There is plenty for families to get involved with. PlayLab at The Canopy at Geneo features interactive exhibits, mechanical puzzles, playground installations and hands-on workshops, while the PlayCourt at 7 Science Park Drive reworks familiar sports such as basketball, football and pickleball and invites visitors to contribute to Singapore Science Park's first co-created community mural. From 29 August to 13 September, Mandai X's Ranger Buddies: The Planet Cup adds physical and AR missions that get children thinking about how everyday choices can help the environment.
The programme keeps changing throughout its run, giving families a reason to return. Upcoming highlights include the Design Meets Play market on 22 and 23 August, alongside workshops and creative collaborations that will continue to appear through November. General admission is free, although selected activities and workshops are ticketed.

Jesus Christ Superstar Comes to Sands Theatre, till 6 September
One of musical theatre's most famous rock operas has arrived in Singapore. Jesus Christ Superstar is playing at Sands Theatre until 6 September, bringing Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's award-winning musical to the stage in the acclaimed production originally created by London's Regent's Park Open Air Theatre.
Directed by Timothy Sheader and choreographed by Drew McOnie, the production follows the final weeks in the life of Jesus Christ through the perspective of Judas. The Singapore cast includes Luke Street as Jesus, Javon King as Judas, and Tabitha Nauser and Frances Lee sharing the role of Mary Magdalene. Expect the show's famous rock score, with songs including Superstar, I Don't Know How to Love Him and Gethsemane.
The production carries an Advisory 16 rating, although patrons below 16 may still attend. Children under 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The production runs for approximately 110 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. Read our full review of Jesus Christ Superstar here.

Myths & Legends at CHIJMES and Capitol Singapore, 21 August to 5 September 2026
Singapore Night Festival returns this week, and CHIJMES and Capitol Singapore are getting in on the after-dark action with Myths & Legends, a programme of projection mapping, night markets, performances, art and hands-on experiences running from 21 August to 5 September.
Start at CHIJMES, where the historic facade becomes the canvas for Textures through Time, a nightly projection mapping show tracing different periods of Singapore's past. Step inside CHIJMES Hall on opening night for something even bigger: Singapore's first large-scale indoor projection mapping experience, combining 360-degree digital art, lighting, sound and live performance. Other activities across selected nights include Neon Glow Art Jamming and the adidas Hyperboost Run Experience.
Over at Capitol Singapore, the Outdoor Plaza takes on more of a creative night-market atmosphere. Pasar Ma(d)lam brings together local makers, artists and independent brands across three festival weekends, with everything from handmade crafts and live caricatures to henna art and gacha machines. Visitors can also contribute to artist Natalia Tan's large-scale community artwork made using recycled uniforms, catch a live performance by Thailand's Deep South Messenger on 21 and 22 August, or make an upcycled bag charm at selected workshops.

Greenwood Fish Market's World Oyster Festival Extended Till 31 August
Greenwood Fish Market has extended its annual World Oyster Festival through 31 August, giving diners another month to sample one of Singapore's largest selections of live-imported oysters from around the world.
Now in its 14th edition, the festival showcases 25 oyster varieties from nine countries, with fresh shipments arriving throughout the season as different farms reach peak harvest. Guests can order oysters à la carte, priced from $4.95++ to $12.95++ per piece (minimum two of each variety), or opt for the signature tasting platter featuring 16 oysters across eight chef-selected varieties for $119.95++. The festival menu is available for dine-in, takeaway and delivery across all Greenwood Fish Market outlets.

Hello Future: Adventure Awaits at the National Library Building, 15 August–5 September
Looking for a meaningful family outing? Hello Future: Adventure Awaits returns this August with a delightful exhibition that puts children's creativity centre stage. Presented by the Singapore Art Museum (SAM), the free exhibition showcases artworks created by preschoolers from 24 schools across Singapore, inviting visitors to see the world through the imagination of its youngest artists.
Making its debut at the National Library Building, this seventh edition of SAM's Think! Contemporary Preschool programme explores themes including identity, community and the changing environment. Inspired by visits to SAM's Learning Gallery, the children experimented with unexpected materials and playful techniques, transforming their observations into colourful contemporary artworks.
More than an art exhibition, the programme celebrates curiosity, creativity and learning through play. Families can wander through the displays together while discovering how children interpret the world around them through art, making it an inspiring stop for both little ones and adults alike. Meet the K-Meat Week 2026 Across Singapore, 29 June–31 August
Korean food fans have a new dining event to look forward to this summer. Meet the K-Meat Week 2026 brings together six leading restaurants across Singapore to showcase Korea's prized Hanwoo beef and Handon pork, with exclusive menus, chef collaborations and traditional Korean alcohol pairings. The campaign kicks off with a headline collaboration between Seoul's legendary Gold Pig Seoul and COTE Singapore before expanding into a citywide dining celebration running throughout July and August.
The opening highlight takes place on 29 and 30 June, when Gold Pig Seoul, the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Korean barbecue institution known for its famously long queues in Seoul, makes its Singapore debut at COTE Singapore. Guests can experience a special collaborative menu featuring premium Hanwoo and Handon, alongside signature dishes inspired by one of Korea's most celebrated barbecue restaurants.
From 1 July to 31 August, the event expands across six restaurants: COTE Singapore, Bedrock Bar & Grill, DRIM, GU:UM, Ju Shin Jung and Sodeng. Each venue will present its own interpretation of Hanwoo and Handon through exclusive dishes, ranging from Korean barbecue and steakhouse menus to contemporary grill experiences and hotpots.
Adding to the experience, the first 100 tables ordering featured dishes at each participating restaurant will receive a complimentary bottle of newly introduced Korean traditional alcohol. In total, 600 bottles will be distributed during the campaign, giving diners a rare opportunity to experience premium Korean meat alongside traditional beverages that have never previously been sold in Singapore.

PORTALS: A World-First Fantasy Art Experience, Till 2 September
Fantasy, sci-fi and gaming fans have a new reason to head to Scotts Road this season. Making its global debut in Singapore, PORTALS is an ambitious immersive exhibition that brings together more than 300 original artworks, over 10,000 books and miniatures, and eight themed realms dedicated to some of the world's most beloved speculative fiction universes.
Spanning 13,000 square feet, the experience takes visitors on a walk-through journey from the origins of fantasy and science fiction to the worlds of gaming and imaginative storytelling. Along the way, visitors will encounter original paintings, handcrafted relics, large-scale dioramas and rare artworks that have shaped generations of readers, gamers and collectors.
A major highlight is the collection of original book cover art from the golden age of fantasy and science fiction. Rather than reproductions or prints, these are the actual oil, acrylic and gouache paintings that appeared on iconic book covers and helped define entire genres. Visitors can also explore the exclusive Future Singapore: 2126 series by Singapore illustrator Kristal Melson, created specially for the exhibition's world premiere.
